Archie Comics has come a long way in 70 years and its latest issue features a gay wedding on its cover. Archie, Vernonica and Betty were wholesome characters and part of our popular culture. But now, the comic series promotes the gay agenda.

The comic features the wedding of Kevin Keller and Clay Walker. Keller is a soldier wounded in Iraq. While recovering in a hospital rehab unit, he meets Clay and they fall in love. Keller, the first gay character in the comic series was introduced in April 2010.

In 2010, the comic series also had Archie marrying both Veronica and Betty in parallel universes – thus introducing the idea of polygamy to its readers.

Characters Archie and Betty join in celebrating this gay wedding between Walker and Keller!

Of course, what Archie Comics won’t discuss honestly are the serious physical and mental dangers of gay sex as clearly documented by the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH).

Of course, we must love rather than hate. But there is a big difference between loving the sinner and hating the sin. And I’m not denying that in the past gays were discriminated against but now the reverse is happening. The persecuted are now persecuting those who believe homosexual acts are wrong. That does not mean we don’t accept, respect and love homosexuals as being made in the image and likeness of God. But we cannot condome or accept behavior which is dangerous to the health of the body and the soul. I submit that it is the Christian (not all by the way), the true Christian, is the only one who truly loves those engaged in hoomosexuality precisely because they are the most worried about their eternal soul and are most courageous in speaking the truth in love….

I agree. But a homosexual person on TV made an important point that I hadn’t thought of. We do need to hate the sin and love the sinner. Unfortunately, we still may frighten homosexuals who wonder whether we might harm them because we hate homosexual acts. A radical pro-lifer may love an abortion doctor enough to pray that he’ll go to heaven and still shoot him outside an abortion clinic to protect the babies he would kill if he survived. Although abortion should be illegal everywhere, an abortion doctor shouldn’t need to worry that someone will murder him.

LOL..
” You religious folk never cease to amaze me.”
Truly, isn’t there a more pompous statement you can come up than that to invite a reader into your narrow-minded diatribe?
Oh, and that trite, banal ending: ” I’m straight.”
I guess that cements everything above it?
Luckily, there are better spokespersons for the gay community who want to find an amicable meeting place. You and others like you – on both sides of the debate – are simply bystanders who add nothing but shrill and malevolence to the process.

Extreme liberals amaze me when I correspond with the on message boards. One minute, they’re defending human reason, rationality, and evidence. A minute later, they’re posting emotionally charged, insulting comments that prove that they’re reacting emotionally, not rationally. Many have insulted me publicly, privately or both, because I’m against same-sex “marriage,” same-sex civil unions, and adoption by same-sex couples. But my critics never argue against what I think. Although they’re welcome to tell me what they believe, their diatribes make them look hypocritical after they defend reason, rationality, and evidence.

You religious folk never cease to amaze me.

This “gay agenda” has always confused me – so can someone explain it to me? And please, don’t use your book of fairy-tales because it is filled with hypocrisies and inconsistencies, so your argument would be irrelevant. Seriously, you can’t pick and choose which passages to follow because a lot more people would be put to death for working on the Sabbath, or ate shellfish, or killed their non-virgin bride, or wore clothing made of two different types of fabric, etc, so why must gay folk take all the heat?

Even the term “gay agenda” sounds ridiculous. There is NO agenda other than gays wanting to live their lives without public persecution or having the crud kicked out of them (or killed like in the middle-east where Jesus was born, ironically). Saying that homosexuals have a “gay agenda” is like saying that environmentalists who fight for clean air have a “breathing agenda”.

And finally… NO, same-sex marriage is NOT going “destroy traditional marriage”. I always find it hilarious that the gays will destroy marriage IF they are allowed to marry, but you people NEVER seem to mention adultery or divorce that occurs with STRAIGHT couples in your arguments (I’m looking at you, Newt Gingrich)

So, in conclusion, put the bibles down and take your heads out of your collective asses.

There are over 1,500 species of mammals where homosexuality naturally occurs, but ONLY ONE species practices homophobia.

p.s. I’m straight.

Thank you “Thereareno” for a voice of wisdom, reason and real love.

If christians could tell (differentiate) ‘tween their arses and their elbows they’d be truly dangerous. From my reading of the bible, Jesus speaks of two ‘great commandments’, the second of which is a commandment to love the self. Christians demand LGBT people hate themselves. They teach their LGBT children self loathing which is wholly anti christian – and takes those poor children to abusing alcohol, drugs, promiscuous sex and not rarely suicide. That’s the ‘fruit’ of their ‘christian love’.

If marriage has gone to hell it has nothing to do with LGBTs. Straights have done the hatchet job themselves. Not least the ‘men of God’ in all traditions. Whoremongers most of ‘em.

If there is a God and Jesus, then the christians are the ones who will be answering the questions as to why they taught human beings abject self loathing, and send them down paths of self destruction – and done why they did this ‘in Jesus’ name’. Christians do what they have always done since Jesus walked the earth. Scapegoat. Blame everything and everyone for their own filthy minds, sick hearts and loveless souls and lives.

Give me the LGBTs over ‘christians’ any day – and of course truly good human beings like your good self. :-)

I’ve been beaten to a pulp three times in my life and to near death at that. Just for being human – a human being who tries to do what their Jesus asked, “love the self” and ‘the neighbour’.

But christians poison/ed minds and hearts and get others to do their dirty, murdering work for them. If there is a God and Jesus – I’ll be there asking why too. May that same God if God exists have mercy on them all. I won’t look, demand hell for any human being in this life or any other.

THANK YOU !! :-)

I believe you’re cofusing the moral law with the tranditional or cultural laws. It seems this is always brought up by those unfamiliar with Jesus’ words when He said that He did not come to abolish even one letter of the moral law. He was always after and comdeming the Pharisees for their obsession with their traditional laws which they observed at the expense of their neighbor….And lest we forget every country which legalized same-sex marriage or unions, has seen a significant drop in traditonal marraiges..Finally, if homosexuality is innate how do you explain all the “former” homosexuals coming out…..
